Beauty Review. Lush’s New Tuca Tuca Perfume.

October 14, 2010 • Magazine

Image001 I have never been a big perfume wearer, and mostly resort to only perfumed oils, as I find them much softer in fragrance. But, if I do wear a perfume, it has to have hints of vanilla, or a light musk. These smell the best on me without being too overpowering. So, with the launch of Lush's  Gorilla Perfume Tuca Tuca by 5 star perfumers, Mark and Simon Constantine, I just may have been converted.

Upon smelling this I first thought it was very strong, but I was pleasantly surprised a few minutes later, when I caught a whiff of vanilla in the air. I couldn't explain what I was smelling, but the scent was young, and fresh, like 'a hippie, who has run away to the field's… quit the rebel.

Lush says, 'TUCA TUCA is that fun and flirtatious girl inside us all – she’s mischievous with a naughty sense of humor and an infectious giggle. TUCA TUCA is the epitome of feminine with its flirty mix of violet leaf, cassie and vanilla.'

I do agree, it is very flirty, and a little goes a long way. You can't get to 'spray' happy with this perfume, as it's undertones of jasmine and violet leaf can be a little too heavy, however, it does dry down to a beautiful, fresh scent.
