Going into Sephora is always a trying experience. Either you want help and no one seems to care or you just want to browse and everyone wants to plaster your face with the newest magic foundation.
This past weekend I was in a Sephora browsing the NARS section and I picked up the velvet lip pencil in Cruella. I saw a figure in black run towards me and I cringed. "Get over here now, we're putting this color on your lips."
I sat down on the leather stool hesitantly as the make-up artist attacked my lips with the chubby pencil and raved about this pencil being her favorite. As soon as she was done she asked if I was ready to see the results. I turned around timidly and was shocked. My tiny lips had gone from a natural pink to a vixen-y, totally wearable red-burgundy.
I walked out of the store with that lip pencil in a bag and feeling confident. As if my experience wasn't enough to make me love the color, watching a guy walk past me staring at my lips and right into a pillar didn't hurt either.
