This season, while we're shopping and celebrating and gift-giving to those we love, let's not forget to also give back to those in need. Whether its a monetary donation or just a few hours of your time, any contribution can make all the difference in someone's holiday season.
Dress for Success Worldwide, an international not-for-profit organization that provides business attire and coaching to those in need, is celebrating the grand opening of its Central regional office in Chicago on December 7th. Located at 515 N. State Street, the new office is actually designed to feel like a high-end boutique.
Participants are encouraged to stop by the the store for a suit when they have a job interview, and can return to the shop for up to a week’s worth of business-appropriate separates when they land a job. Also, if needed, participants can receive additional coaching and business mentoring at The Dress For Success career center. The Chicago Dress for Success office will also serve as a training ground for its affiliates throughout the Midwest and Canada.
So with such a great cause coming so close to home, the only question now is: how can we get involved??? We're glad you asked!
Dress For Success is seeking volunteers and donors to support the organization in Chicago. Ways to get involved include making a monetary contribution, volunteering as a personal shopper, Career Center counselor or speaker, hosting an event and many more opportunities.
Also, from December 10-12, Sutton Studio at Bloomingdale’s North Michigan will host a suit drive to benefit Dress for Success Worldwide – Central’s grand opening. Shoppers who donate a new or nearly new suit during the promotion will receive 20% off their Sutton suit purchase in-store.
Interested individuals and corporations can get more information at www.dressforsuccess.org/worldwidecentral. Let's all work together this season to help those in need!
