Angelina Jolie as "Elise" in "The Tourist"

Italian luxury label, Salvatore Ferragamo, is pioneering a new approach to the design process with its Red Carpet project, a program that allows clients to custom design their own formal wear shoes. Six models, from pumps to sandals, are available to choose from in a range of 23 different colored satins, with the option to monogram them as well! The custom orders will take about six weeks to complete and the brand plans to change up the customizable options each season.

Farragamao plans to launch the Red Carpet project in conjunction with the soon to be released film, “The Tourist,” starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. The house created a collection of shoes specially designed in collaboration with costume designer Colleen Atwood for Jolie's femme fatale character, Elise. The line for the film revolves around Ferragamo’s classic stiletto pump, which will be sold in a limited edition reissued version dubbed the “Elise” shoe, in select sales points throughout the world later this month. The customizable Red Carpet project will debut soon in select Ferragamo boutiques worldwide.
