Second City Style’s 12 Days of Christmas (Shopping) ’10. Bonnie Wishes To Travel To A Warm, Exotic Location

December 10, 2010 • Yahoo

Honestly, Santa, all I want for Christmas this year is a trip to a warm, exotic location. I’d be happy with just about anywhere that has blue water, clear sunny skies, hot sandy beaches, and a gorgeous man to serve me a never ending supply of Mai Tai’s.

The cruises from Crystal Cruises sound so luxurious, any of them would do wonders for my winter doldrums.

…Buuuutttt, if I am going somewhere warm I will need a few things to pack along with me, and I promise I’ll learn to pack light.

Hayden-Harnett Ibiza Convertible Flight Tote $264

In order to pack light I’ll need a new bag to fit all my things into and Hayden-Harnett makes the ideal travel bag. Plus, when I get back from my vacation it will be perfect to schlep my things to and from the office and I’ll be able to day dream of my time spent on the beach.

Solid Twist-Front Bandeau Tank $80

No matter how much damage the sun inflicts, I just can’t get enough of that big golden star. So while I know I shouldn’t, I will be spending hours laying out soaking up the rays, which will require a new swim suit. And the suits from JCrew are so cute and flattering, don’t you think, Santa?

Emilio Pucci Fringed Silk-Crepe Kaftan  $5895

While I’d like to think I’m not normally too self-conscious about the way I look in a swim suit, I have to face facts. The amount of holiday cookies I’ve already eaten this season could feed a small army of cookie monsters. So, this Pucci beach cover-up will help hide all the areas that need camouflaging, but is also so colorful and fun that I will certainly be the envy of all other beach goers.

Lilly Pulitzer McKim Sandal Glam Snake Embossed leather $138

My beach outfit won’t be complete without a cute pair of sandals to get me from my room to the pool and these Lilly Pulitzer sandals will do just perfectly!

Clothbound Penguin Classics

Of course a beach get away wouldn’t be the same without a great book to read. And although I’ve read it at least a dozen times, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is one of my all time favs and this hard back edition is just adorable! I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more.
