Karl Lagerfeld's take on the royal wedding dress
As the world readies itself for what's sure to be the most momentous occasion of the decade—the Royal Wedding between HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton—everyone wants to know the same exact thing: what will the wedding dress look like?
Following in the footsteps of the Late Princess Diana, the style icon of her time and owner of perhaps the most talked about wedding dress of the century, Middleton seemingly has ridiculously big silken shoes to fill. But who will design them?
In a fun and deliciously indulgent gesture for us readers, WWD asked 30 of the world's most notable designers and fashion houses to weigh in on what they would choose for the blushing bride if asked to design the wedding gown. Many of the houses are couture, some are known for bridal, and only one of them hails from the Royal couple's homeland of Great Britain. But each has their own unique interpretation of the statement Middleton should make when she glides down that staggeringly long alley at Westminster Abbey come April.
Take a peek at each designer's idea on the WWD site and then let us know: which one do you like best for this fairytale occasion?
