Even with Monsieur Martin Margiela no longer at the helm, his Maison Martin Margiela line continues to ink new projects. The latest involves a collaboration with downtown New York store, and the source for every "It' thing of the moment, Opening Ceremony. Opening Ceremony is currently having a year long love affair with everything and anything from France, and Maison Martin Margiela fits right in! The collab will involve a capsule collection of women’s clothes and accessories called MM6 Maison Martin Margiela x Opening Ceremony, which will premiere for fall 2011. Opening Ceremony’s co-founder Humberto Leon says he’s been eagerly awaiting the chance to work with the reputably eccentric French house (need we remind you of the famous wig coats?) and is “excited to see these two worlds collide.
