As one of biggest supermodels of the last two decades, Kate Moss has pretty much done everything there is to do in the fashion industry. Become a muse for designers around the world? Check. Opened and closed every major runway show? Check. Designed your own successful line for Topshop? Check.
So now, with many her fashion endeavors potentially coming to close (she is, gasp, 36 after all!), Moss is turning to a whole to industry to conquer—music. Moss is reportedly in the midst of recording her own album. Having dabbled as a songstress before in her myriad of music-related relationships over the years, Moss and her rock-star boyfriend Jamie Hince of the Kills, are taking it to the next level. Hince has reportedly been telling friends in the London music world that Moss is to record a set of edgy urban songs and is hoping to install a music studio in their multi-million dollar house in Highgate, North London.
A friend of Hince's told the Daily Mail UK, "Kate’s fashion days are winding down and she’s no longer designing for Topshop, so her dream is to to record an album urban album." Moss has also apparently been approached by Simon Cowell to appear on the American version of X Factor after she invited the show’s Cher Lloyd to her Christmas party. A source said, "Simon thinks Kate could work as a mentor. She is obsessed with X Factor and as one of the most famous women on the planet he believes her universal appeal is perfect for the U.S. show." So frontwoman for a rock band or reality series judge? EIther way, Moss may be making some big moves into music soon, so stay tuned!
