I had one of these dreams last night…and "designed" a pair of bottle green wedge shoes with metallic gold gathered leather detail. I really only saw them from the top, but believed they were on a wedge, because they were very comfortable (in the dream)… because I thought about that while I was running around (this is in the dream)… looking for financial documents. I was also wondering why no one (still in the dream) commented on what I thought were a cool new pair of shoes!
You see I tried to draw the shoes here (see above) once awake. OK, so they were a lot cooler looking in my dream!
As strange as some of my dreams may be, they are usually quite easy to analyze. Often my dreams are based on something that I experienced or saw the day before. Since it is the beginning of the New Year, there's no wonder why I was thinking about financial documents. But why the green and gold metallic wedge shoes? Well I remember that yesterday during my (daily) habit of checking out online shoe sales, I took a close look at a pair of bottle green House of Harlow 1960 booties, admired the wedge/heel silhouette of some Maison Martin Margiela booties and adored the gold metallic heel on a pair of 3.1 Phillip Lim pumps.
So given these inspirations, along with the fact that I have been on the look-out for a comfortable shoe for Fashion Week, I suppose I came up with a "Dream Shoe."
This morning I was excited to wake up, because I thought I had a new pair of shoes to wear. But became sad when I realized that the shoes… were all just a dream…
