Beauty Review. The One and Only Moroccanoil

January 4, 2011 • Beauty, Yahoo

Moroccanoil It seems every salon I walk by these days has a full blown Moroccanoil® display in the window. Between that and all of the raving I have been hearing about the 'miracle' products I thought it was time to give the brand a test. I normally wear my hair curly and don't use an oil for my hair, but in the winter months I do like to straighten it from time to time and then an oil is imperative or my hair tends to look dry and frazzled. Yet, some oils just make my hair look dirty and unwashed. Who wants that?

So I recently tried the Moroccanoil® Treatment…the original oil. It's an argan oil‐infused formula which is rich in Vitamins A, E and F (Omega 6), as well as phenols and tocopherols to nourish the hair. It absorbs into the hair instantly, leaving a natural, silky finish and brilliant shine while strengthening hair. Moroccanoil Treatment also softens thick unmanageable hair, restores dull lifeless locks and helps brittle hair become more supple.

The key apparently is to apply a tiny amount. I basically rub a pea-sized amount between my hands so they are just coated and work it through my just straightened hair. Not only does the oil smell amazing it nourishes, conditions and protects my hair while smoothing flyaways and frizz. The best part is that it really does work on any hair type…even thin hair.

Moroccanoil®’s argan oil is harvested under a free trade program which provides substantial socioeconomic support to thousands of families in the southwest region of Morocco. Revenue from this project provides income to families and helps improve the working conditions of rural women. Look for the bright turquoise blue label with the large copper M in the Moroccanoil® logo. These are the only genuine, proprietary Moroccanoil® products. Beware because imitations are popping up and there is only one.

This product really is a beauty essential for me now. I find I am even using Moroccanoil® on my hair curly to give it a little extra shine and protection. I'm hooked.

Moroccanoil® Treatment $40.80 / 3.4 fl.oz.

  1. I always see this product in the salon I go to, and I always forget to ask about it. This sounds like it would be really good for my hair, I will have to give it a try.
