L'Oreal Paris has been busy juggling their famously gorgeous faces recently. After being accused by several media sources that they had dropped Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as one of their famous faces, the company has been making painstaking efforts to remedy the rumors.
It’s “absolutely untrue,” the company said in a statement. “While she remains an integral part of the L’Oréal Paris worldwide dream team, she was unfortunately unavailable for our New Year commercial shoot due to prior commitments.” Bachchan's stunningly beautiful face (she has been named The Most Beautiful Women in the World by many) has been advertising for L’Oréal Paris since 2000. Her absence from the New Year commercial provoked press to speculate that she is being replaced by Freida Pinto, who is incidentally, already an ambassador for the brand. Come on, people! Stop stirring the pot!
In other, more true L'Oreal Paris news, rock star/mom/style icon Gwen Stefani has confirmed that she has indeed signed on as the newest face for the brand. “I can’t believe I get to be one of the L’Oréal Paris girls,” Stefani says, “I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band."
Gwen’s first campaign will be for the brand’s Infallible Le Rouge lip color, perhaps as an homage to the rocker's decades-long signature red lip, and her first commercial will debut in the appropriately glam time slot of this Sunday's Golden Globes.
