Michelle Obama Keeps McQueen’s Vision Alive at the White House State Dinner

January 20, 2011 • Celebrity Style

First lady of fashion Michelle Obama has done it again! Yesterday, President Obama and the First Lady welcomed Chinese President Hu Jintao to the White House for a star-studded state dinner.  As our fellow citizens of the world had all eyes on Jintao’s foreign relations’ meeting with the President, the fashion mavens of the world swooned over the ravishing crimson Alexander McQueen confection that Mrs. Obama donned during the much anticipated rendezvous. The beaded wool and duchess silk satin dress and wool coat was nothing less than befitting of the impeccable taste that Lady Obama have proven to possess time and time again; and as always, it was styled to perfection! The newly coveted dress, designed by Roksanda Ilincic, is from the late London-based designer’s fall 2010 collection. It will soon become available at Blake in Chicago, Linda Dresner in Michigan and at Net-a-porter.
