Michael Kors is anything but "underwhelmed" for the upcoming 30th anniversary of his eponymous brand. The American designer and quotable judge of Project Runway is marking the momentous occasion, not in his home country of the U.S., but rather in the most glamorous and romantic of countries: France. Ok, we can't blame him.
And Kors is reportedly not the only one gearing up for a good time—Charles Rivkin, the U.S. ambassador to France, and his wife, Susan Tolson, are offering up the achingly opulent U.S. ambassador’s residence during Paris fashion week to celebrate Kors with a seated dinner on March 7. In addition to the 30th anniversary of Kors' brand, Paris is also keen to welcome the designer due to his latest retail achievement, a 7,000-square-foot Parisian flagship — his biggest in the world — on the Rue Saint Honoré, in which he will open the same day. Bon Anniversaire Monsieur Kors, may you have many more successful years to come.
