Meet Guillaume Henry, the Parisian designer behind the French house of Carven who will be in Chicago in his first trip to the United States to introduce the Spring 2011 collection. Simon Doonan will host an event from 4-6 pm. A trunk show will take place from 12-6 pm at Barneys New York Chicago Flagship on Monday February 7th at 15 East Oak Street on the third floor.
Guillaume Henry, who re-launched Carven as a contemporary ready-to-wear collection only two seasons ago, continues to transform it into a must-have label known for its edgy take on youthful Parisian elegance. What was once one of the best kept secrets in fashion has a growing fan base among the world’s most well-known style influencers. Carven’s red carpet following has recently included Leighton Meester, Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Watson. Carven is available in select Barneys New York stores and Barneys.com
