Summary: Simply put, Costello Tagliapietra's Fall RTW collection is beautiful. Producing dresses that move effortlessly along the body, in fabrics that float as if on water, Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra have a sincere knack for including a wealth of competing sartorial references into one seamless, brightly hued collection.

Inspired by New York in the 90s, the designers opened their show with a gorgeous vermillion red V-neck dress that set the stage for the runway's proceeding saturation with an effervescent array of color. What was so exotic about this particular collection was the melding of 1970s and ethnic influences. Long jersey dresses with oversized shawl collars were paired alongside heavily draped dyed brush print numbers.

Exhibiting an affinity for various decade and international influences, the leitmotif of this collection was undoubtedly the designers' masterful command of draping. From fur stoles wrapped around the torso of a jacket or dress to a gorgeous lavendar satin number whose draping is so exquisite, it is difficult to tell where construction begins and ends.

With its resplendent color palette — which inevitably made audience members long for the brightness of impending seasons — Costello Tagliapietra's Fall collection exudes a powerful energy that is difficult to deny. Executed with exacting precision, each look is a definite crowd pleaser, coming from two gentlemen who have more than a few ideas on how to enliven the female spirit.
