Summary: Jen Kao reinvents the woman for her Fall 2011 runway show. Signature technicolor and acid rainbows compliment the structured feminine shapes. The gold jewels highlight the radiating stones around the neckline and delicately armored high booties which translates into another version of this season's "warrior princess."

Looking back on the Fall 2011 runway show, I am having mixed thoughts. Upon first glance, the colors and dramatics were some of the first I have seen in the Fall season from any other designers. It seemed that everyone else was playing it safe and keeping things to a minimum. This was a nice treat to see. I fell in love. But looking back at all the details and all of the different colors, it could be a bit too much and overworked. You can tell alot of time and effort was put into this collection but there should have been a moment when Kao should have taken a step back and taken away an element or two.
