The new Dior Addict line
Ten years after the original Dior Addict lipstick collection debuted, the luxury house is releasing a new revamped collection bearing the same name.
Presented at an international press event in New York earlier this month by LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned Christian Dior Parfums, the new 44-color Dior Addict line is boasting the widest shade range on the lipstick market. Not only that, its reformulated line contains 25 percent less wax than traditional lipstick and include “Mirror Jelly,” a gel created with polymers and oils that is supposed to provide a “spectacular shine.”
Kate Moss stars in Dior Addict’s advertising campaign, shot by David Sims, which will be released in both single and double pages in spring issues. Jonas Akerlund shot a 30-second film ad for TV as well.
There are also five new Dior Vernis nail polish shades and a smoky topcoat, whose prices will be around $28.28 and $26.90 at current exchange. Each lipstick is to be about $39.19. Dior Addict was pre-launched on Feb. 15 at Sephora in the U.S. and Canada but expect the full roll-out to counters by April 1.
