Recently, I've been getting a lot of those "Are you sick? You look really tired comments." After an obsessive examination of my face, my eyes always seem to be the source for my haggard looks and the five extra years people guess of my age. It's nearly impossible to get the recommended amount of sleep, and when there's no time to sleep there needs to be a way to fake it.
Unless you've been living in Ke$ha's nest of hair for the past decade, you've probably heard about the miracle known as YSL's Touche Eclat. A concealer to put all other concealers to shame, it is also an illuminator that reflects light to give your skin a dewy, well-rested glow. When I tried Touche Eclat under my eyes, next to my nose, and on my 'parenthesis' I was amazed at how well-rested I was capable of looking after four hours of sleep.
After a peek at the $40 price tag and the remaining funds in my bank account all hope quickly faded. I was never going to look well-rested again-or at least until my next paycheck. Until the oh-so nice Sephora employee showed me there truly are options at every price point.
First he showed me the Sephora version of the highlighter, which covered just fine but didn't make me glow. I was loving the $12 tag, but I wanted more. Next was a slew of putty and pasty goop from random brands that left me looking worse than before. Finally he pulled out Fresh's version.
Fresh's $24 Supernova Radiance Brightening Pen was like a gift from the over-worked gods. So close to being up to par with YSL's stick, yet almost half the price. Not to mention all the good-for-you ingredients hiding in Fresh's version and without all the scary chemicals.
I went home a very pleased girl. I am now faking a full night's sleep and getting closer to being guessed at my true age. If you haven't invested in one of these miracle sticks, get on it immediately. You won't realized how bad you looked until you see yourself with some radiant skin.
