HTCHD7_

It's no secret, I LOVE my HTC Droid Incredible. I publicly broke up with my Blackberry last December (Sorry BlackBerry, It's Over. I've Met an Incredible New Love) and I'm still as much in love today as I was then. So we at Second City Style are thrilled to have the opportunity to give one lucky winner the chance to experience the love.

The HTC HD7 is the latest feature packed phone by HTC and we can't wait to hear what the winner thinks because we have not even tried it yet! Then again I'm not sure I can part with my Droid Incredible…but I digress.

About the HTC HD7:

The HTC HD7 features a large 4.3-inch screen perfect for popping out the kickstand to consume all your favorite blockbusters, sitcoms or updating your Facebook while on-the-go. To make watching all your content even more enjoyable, the HTC HD7 has a super fast processor to optimize HiFi sound and with headphones you can experience Dolby surround sound. The phone uses the intuitive Windows Phone 7 system that helps clear clutter and focuses on the content you want quick access to.  Last but not least, shoot video and photos of your killer outfits with a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash. You can upload and share instantly with your friends, family and followers.

The HTC HD7 is available online or in T-Mobile stores for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Please note the winner will be getting the unit without service (the device only), but if you are currently a T-Mobile customer you can pop in your SIM and use the phone.

What do you have to do to win? Simply tell us which device you are currently using and need to break up with. We will pick the winner with the best story on Friday, March 18 at 5pm EST. Please only enter once and remember to leave your email address so we can contact you should you win. We will announce the winner on Twitter as well. Not following us? Follow Second City Style on Twitter here! Good luck!

Sadly I have nothing to break up with as I still only have a landline telephone, but I would love to start a new and exciting relationship with a HTC HD7

  2. Goody says:

although it was at the time given to me by someone i loved, the thrill of both my blackberry storm and that someone is gone.
i guess i just need a phone that, you know…works.
a phone who’s battery doesn’t constantly slip out, that doesn’t constantly purge my messages, that doesn’t require me to reboot it 5 times a day….you know, simple things.

  3. Mike says:

I currently have an old LG Shine and I really hate it. The display is terrible, the battery is pathetic (must charge it several times a day, even with light use), and it has virtually no sound quality, regardless of network, let alone the utter lack of features. I simply can’t afford anything else right now although I would absolutely LOVE to have an HTC HD7!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  4. Marilyn Wons says:

I’m currently using (I’m ashamed to say) a prepaid type phone made by Nokia. This phone has no smartness to it at all…it’s just a basic phone and I really need to get more in the times with a smart phone.
Thanks so much for this great giveaway.

  9. Rosanne says:

I have an old Motorola Razr that I kind of tricked out with some stickers to make it a little better looking. Kind of like plastic surgery for cell phones. No matter how many times I’ve dropped it on the concrete on my driveway or getting out of the car st a store I cannot kill it. It still lives on. Sometimes I’m afraid it is going to outlive me.

  10. Nicole says:

I am currently using a Blackberry, but the thrill is gone and it’s time to move on.

  11. melissa says:

Well it is time for me to break up with my BlackBerry 8350i. I have had this phone for almost 2 years. I was so excited to get this phone i was like wow all the things i am going to be able to do. What a joke. This phone stinks and probably my carrier stinks to. For the first year and a half i was told i would have to pay for GPS on this phone by store reps. One of the main reasons i got the phone. then i go and was playing with and and just punched in 1234 and got GPS. internet browsing is not fun and I HATE MY PHONE. i would up grade it but i think i want to change to a new network.

  12. Annette D says:

I am using my son’s hand me down LG phone, after mine took a wild ride in the washer, so I am not attached…the break-up would be an easy one for me.

  13. Mike says:

    Motorola Razr
    Just kind of had it…
    Screen died…
    Won’t dial
Guess I shouldn’t have dropped it in the water… LOL

  14. Anna says:

I am using a Samsung that has seen the inside of the toilet 3 times and now my phone turns off on me in the middle of a call. I guess i should have learned not to carry my phone in my coat pocket at work. I really need to break up with mine. lol

  15. Davisesq212 says:

The device I am currently dating (if you can even call it dating) is the Blackberry Bold. We desperately need to break-up. I hate being alone so I first need to find a replacement ‘date’. I previously dated Blackberry Bold’s brother, Blackberry Tour. He wasn’t so ‘hot’ either. In general, Blackberry Bold is very shy and quiet. I can never hear him! Also, Blackberry Bold, who isn’t so bold because of his volume, can’t remember our dates. Even though he has a calendar, our ‘appointments’ keep disappearing. Blackberry Bold loves to sleep as well. He might be up for 2-3 hours but then he just falls asleep. Why does he need to ‘recharge’ so much? Most importantly, Blackberry Bold’s ‘buttons’ are, um, kind of small. I like my ‘digits’ bigger, if you know what I mean! Please find me a new date, I mean device, that I can really fall in love with!

  16. SANDY says:

don’t have a phone right now- seriously have been naked for almost a year and time to get back in the swing of talking to peeps

  17. Tari L. says:

I currently have a blackberry. I am not sure if it is the phone or the service I am most unhappy with. Lets start with the phone. The camera is horrible. Every picture I take turns out blurry. The service (I currently have Sprint) is horrible. I often cannot connect to the internet. This seems to happen at the worst of times, like when I am out and lost and need to pull up location information on where I am going. Perhaps the worst part of the service is that I cannot use it when I travel. They don’t have international coverage and will charge you a small fortune if you try using it and have to roam. I used to have T-mobile and never had any problems with them. Why did I switch you ask. Because my husband got a deal through work to get us a better rate with his companies plan. I absolutely hate it and will be heading back to T-mobile when my contract runs out very soon.

I am currently using a 6 year old flip phone with no bells and whistles, no smart features, nothing but a phone to make or receive calls. Not only is it boring, it’s beat up and scratched as well

  20. Courtney says:

I am currently using the Shine! It’s sooo battered! I really need to upgrade!

  21. MelissaO says:

Well, I would love to end it with my Tmobile Samsung super basic phone. Always wanted to go out with a Smartphone but have hesitated because of the $$. Everyone says once I get one, then I’ll never go back though!

  22. Lisa says:

Truthfully, I’ve never owned a cell phone & I get weird looks all the time when that becomes known. I’ve run out of gas in the middle of Oklahoma & some guy was nice enough to give me a gallon to get me to the next gas station. I’ve run out twice in Arizona and one time my 6 month old son was in the back in his carseat. I was also in my work uniform, how embarassing, but a nice man took me & baby to a gas station & I was good to go. I’m in desperate need to get with the times & this phone looks like the phone of all phones & I know I would be like addicted to it. Thanks for hosting, fingers crossed.

  29. janeh says:

I thought I loved my Blackberry Pearl, but I can be convinced to give it up for this.

  30. I currently have no phone. We already broke up months ago. As a victim of Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, I was forced to give up my cell phone service to pay off bills. Now that they are all paid off, I could be so rewarded with this lovely phone!!!

  31. Angie says:

I have the incredibly awesome Sony Ericsson Walkman that I’ve had for 3 years. I basically only use it as a camera or a walkman. I don’t have a data plan, so no internet, no twitter and no facebook “on the go” for me. I can’t even post the pictures that I take, which is kind of a bummer.
I would like a new phone so that I can actually get a data plan and tweet, tweet, tweet away … on the go. I want to be one of those fashionably chic women that I see on Gossip Girl ;) xoxo

  32. Jill Myrick says:

My current cell phone is a Flip that I have had fro the past eight years.
As each of my older children have become teenagers they have taken possession of my cell. So this was has been through my son and daughter and now back to me.
It’s old, worn and doesn’t have any of the apps that cell phones do today but still in working order.
I would love to have a new cell with all of the upgrades and apps. It would definitely be a time saver.
And I promise to carry it proudly :-)

I still have the Motorola Pebble. I need to breakup with it becuase it is small, the buttons are hard to press and most of all…it looks like a phone a girl would carry. I got it as a gift. Everybody says how “cute” it is. Please help get me a more manly phone. Thanks.

  34. Adrienne Bireley says:

I currently HAVE and need to break up with my SAMSUNG POS. It’s such an old phone it looks like a prototype. It’s small and charcoal colored and it flips open. You can text or call and it has a superlame camera. No data plans. Nothing. You can’t even download ringtones. It just has those digital sounding LAME ringtones. Everyone I know is always pulling out a smartphone of some sort. Not me. I got the FREE phone. It’s time I moved on up like George and Wheezie.

  35. elka says:

We only have a landline but would like to have this to possibly start a new

  36. Steph says:

I need to break up with the bare bones piece of Samsung garbage that I was given for my job. It is awful! Zero features, annoying ringtone, and seems to always be mocking me. If I had my way I would take it out to the driveway and smash it with a hammer. I am not cell phone savvy, but my guess is, the phone I am using is one that they handed you to keep your toddler entertained while you were buying a real, working cellphone. Wouldn’t be so bad, but I missed 19 calls yesterday, and now I have the unfortunate job of calling them all back. As luck would have, it is St.Pats Day, and I can get my liquid courage on!

  37. R Hicks says:

I have a tracfone motorola w376 that I have to break up with! I have had it less than a year and sick of it. It takes shoddy pictures and the extremely basic web connection is a royal pain. Th buttons are not arranged very well, and I accidentally hit the one for the web and don’t realize it. My prepaid time ticks off and I don’t know it til much later.
On top of all that, the menu is grossly confusing to say the least. The HTC Droid would be like a knight in shining armor!

  38. Breanne says:

I’ve had the same phone for 4 1/2 years. It’s a LG Venus and also my first phone. I could definitely use an upgrade!

  39. jen gersch says:

    You shut down and freeze
But other times you don’t, what a tease!
I need your support when paying bills
I remember the past I loved you so much you gave me chills
I think my days with you are done
Oh, old computer your just not the one!

  40. susitravl says:

I am currently rocking the Razr and I can’t take one more person making fun of my phone. It’s not my fault my husband is a cheapskate, sorry, frugal spender and won’t spring for new phones because “these work perfectly”. Whatever, honey……….

  41. susan smoaks says:

i have an old pantech cingular wireless prepaid phone. i really need to toss it, but it does work and i can’t justify getting a new phone when i do not have the money.

My current “love” is the phone I got free with plan, it’s a phone nothing else I’d love to get into a new “relationship” with the HTC HD7 so I can surf the internet and take pictures.

I’d break up with my Samsung Flight for the HTC HD7 in a heartbeat. The Flight is nice but doesn’t take crisp pictures or videos. I’d love to be able to film our Undy 5000 team racing for a cure for colon cancer in Daddy’s honor and memory on the first anniversary of his passing in October!

  47. Kam A says:

I currently have a basic LG which no Internet access, just a plain Jane phone. I definitely need to break up with this phone and enter the modern era! I have terrible battery life with my current phone and it is horribly unreliable. I have zero signal strength in areas where others with the same cell company have full signal strength.
Reliablity is incredibly important as I often travel in rural areas with my 2 young children and my phone just isn’t cutting it. Unfortunately, when we were on a recent road trip my car broke down at a gas station and guess what? My phone had NO signal, so I had to go use the gas station’s phone to call for roadside assistance. At least I was in a populated area at the time though. I always think about what would happen if my car would break down on the side of a rural road in our frigid Wisconsin winters and my phone isn’t working. Ugh! It would be so nice to have a better quality phone.
The HTC HD7 would be my dream phone- absolutely amazing! The things I could do with this phone: navigation, photos, Internet, music, Facebook! How great would that be? I would love to jump into the smartphone era with this stylish, classy, incredible HTC HD7! Breaking up with my old phone would be a piece of cake!

I am so old school with my t-mobile cell phone.
I have been using a Moto Razzor until it meet with
some water. Then I got another moto Razzor off of Craigslist – it didn’t last too long as the flip part of the cell broke. Being the frugal one I am, I purchase a very basic Samsung t139 flip at Target on sale for $29.99 ( I bought this t-mobile prepaid and just slipped my SIM card in it to use as my regular service cell for T-mobile) Now my hip college kid is asking for an upgraded phone with internet availability, touch screen, etc. Then our kid will be happy and I will limp along with my old school ways.
