An ad from the new Matthew Williamson collection at Macy's
Matthew Williamson is next up in Macy's designer capsule collection series. How exciting!
Williamson is back to give a "bright, bohemian edge" to Macy's by creating day and party dresses, rompers, printed scarves, as well as other thirty clothing items in total. Prices will range from $50 for a blouse to $150 for dress, with some more expensive items, such as leather and suede jackets, priced up to $300.
“The collection aims to capture the essence of the mainline brand, with a focus on effortless glamour; dynamic prints; loosely structured silhouettes, and pops of strong color,” Williamson said about the collection.
“This spring, the Seventies prints and colors are strong influences, and Matthew exudes those," said Molly Langenstein, Macy’s Inc. executive vice president of fashion and new business. "He is tremendous at pops of strong color and he does dynamic prints reminiscent of the Seventies and the disco era."
I've loved Williamson for years, and when his collection came out in H&M a few years ago, it was a bonafide hit. Can't wait to see what's up next! The collection hits over 200 stores and macys.com on April 13.
