In another testament to January Jones as the current muse of Versace (who can forget the scarlet Versace gown she wore to this year's Golden Globes),the Italian fashion house has come out with a new accessory inspired not by Jones herself, but by her character Betty Draper on the hit 60's-themed series 'Mad Men'. As the pinnacle of upper-middle class fashion for the time, Jones's wardrobe as Draper consists of hoop skirts, red lipstick and a perfectly coiffed bob.
Now Versace has added in the one thing a stately woman of any decade needs who doesn't want to reveal it all—sunglasses. As Donatella Versace explained,“I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the twenty-first century. She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too – it is a dramatic combination." The capsule collection of three 60's- inspired styles will hit Versace stores in April.
