Last night I had the privilege to see Quiksilver's all new and totally young summer line, and the opportunity to chat with some of the clever minds behind it. The casual and upbeat Soho shop was bursting with energy as we viewed the new looks. Trust me when I say the line is so fabulous you’ll want to take an extra spring vaca just as an excuse to wear these warm weather pieces!
The chic, beachy line is casual, but cute and ultra upbeat at the same time. Some of my favorite elements consisted of pretty ditzy pastel florals printed onto a dark black cotton, wide leg drawstring linen pants in coral or classic white, eyelet monokinis and bikinis, super worn-down heathered sweats, and cool canvas slip ons.
The mint and baby pink sunset graphics were gorgeous with the rhinestone detailing and had a wonderful watercolor feeling about them. All of the looks were casual in a chic mix-and-match manner, without being cheesy. Another favorite was the beat up and oversized straw hats were just begging for a good afternoon nap in the sun. The abstract floral sundresses had a beautiful attention to detail with clever low backs and bold embroidery. The apricot, black, white and coral tones played perfectly together, acting as a strong tie for the collection as a whole. The florals, checks and eyelet fabrics are used to bring in a perfect level of femininity to the loungey vibe of the clothing. This summer's wardrobe just got a little younger and a lot more fun. I can’t wait!
