Darn it! Just what I need—another online distraction from my day to day routine. Although, this one seems too good to pass up starting with who it's compliments of: Chanel. Enough said.
The French fashion house has taken every piece of their covetable beauty booty and created an insiders peek into the design and production of their beauty line, naming it Chanel Makeup Confidential. So basically, crack for the beauty junkies (myself included). The brand's nail polish alone, Chanel Nail Vernis, is often cause for mass hysteria each time a new color debuts. So I can't wait to see the response of Chanel's fierce fan base when they find out what they get to be privy to—namely video content, backstage beauty looks, a how-to for this season’s lookbook and an interview with the big man himself, the Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Philips.
The site is eclectically colorful, boasting a sort of artful modernity that's a refreshing change from the oft-seen classic black and white palette. And the the little dancing people fashioned from Chanel Makeup products are irresistible to watch (yes, I made them my screensaver) and will surely add to the aforementioned problem of daily distractions. Nevertheless, I'm already hooked and particularly love that the site links back directly to the Chanel's main shopping page so you can snatch up your favorites as soon as you find them—maybe not good news for those on a budget but come on, luxe beauty is the one indulgence you should always, always allow yourself.
Check out Chanel Makeup Confidential now for this season's freshest looks!
