This Wednesday night, pink will be the toughest color in the city as Chicago's finest will step out in their stilettos to take on the crucial cause of breast cancer. 'Mantra for Good', a cutting edge grassroots organization founded by Chicago’s own Sonya Jackson, is hosting the "Pink is the New Black" social fundraiser benefiting the Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization. ‘Mantra for Good’ embraces the philosophy that each of us has within ourselves the ability to be a leader, the capacity to show compassion and loving kindness every day, and the power to make a difference.
Held in the opulent Park Hyatt, "Pink is the New Black" boasts a night of cocktails and fun with a stylish set of hosts that includes Sonya Jackson, Katie McLenaghan, Lynne Bredfeldt, JR Kerr, Amanda Samuels, Mick Masuka, Kristen Stone, Nicole Lee, Regina Taylor, DaVida Rice and Maurice Wills. The evening will feature contemporary French cuisine with a global flair prepared by Executive Chef Ryan LaRoche at NoMI, the Michelin star restaurant at Park Hyatt Chicago. A silent auction that includes premium seats for Chicago sports events and stylish items from Chicago's hottest stores and boutiques will also be provided. But the best item on the evening's itinerary is that 100% of the proceeds raised will go to the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, which provides help and support to breast cancer patients, survivors and their families.
