Designer darling Tory Burch was picked to sit at the head of the table for the CFDA and In Style magazine's 2nd Annual Dinner With a Designer event at the Los Angeles outpost of Soho House last night. Revered for her talent at creating fresh American sportswear staples as well as her generous philanthropic efforts, Burch shared her accolades with a crowd of friends and well wishers. Among the group were longtime friend Kristin Davis, Eva Amurri, Abigail Spencer, Amber Heard, Eliza Doolittle, Ariel Foxman, Steven Kolb, Juan Carlos Obando, Brad Goreski, Cameron Silver and Christos Garkinos.
Burch reflected back on her six years of booming business, originally planning to open three stores within three years of launching her label in 2004. Today she owns and operates 50 nationwide, with an additional 15 to open this year alone. Co-host In Style magazine tapped the designer for other upcoming plans and luckily, there are a few on the bill! “We’re talking about creating a fragrance and a collection for the home,” the designer said. “I have three sons and three brothers, so I’m also definitely feeling the pressure to do a men’s line!” Congrats to Tory on all her accomplishments!
