Macy's Inc., which runs its namesake and Bloomingdale's stores, has just announced it plans to open three new Bloomingdale's outlets just this fall. The retailer, which currently operates four Bloomingdale's outlets, told The Chicago Tribune that the new stores will be in shopping centers in Schaumburg (!), Estero, Fla. and Wrentham, Mass.
“We continue to see opportunity for growth, and these three new locations will help us to extend the geographic reach of Bloomingdale's outlets and introduce the concept to new customers,” Bloomingdale's Chairman and CEO Michael Gould said in an official statement.
The Schaumburg outlet will offer department store clothing and accessories but at an outlet pricepoint and is slated to open in October. Finally! Anpther reason to viist Schaumburg besides IKEA!
