If you thought you were going to get a peep show during Daphne Guinness' dressing for the Met Ball this coming Monday, think again.
Guinness will be dressing for the gala in the windows of Barneys for the event, in which many pieces of clothing will be on display, as well as on Guinness herself. But don't expect to see the good china, Guinness will be keeping her modesty.
“I am not doing a burlesque — no way,” Guinness told Cathy Horyn for the New York Times. “I’m going to be getting dressed behind something. I’m not Dita Von Teese, nor shall I be.”
If you happen to be in New York around Barneys at about 5 pm on Monday, stop by and check out the goods (goods meaning clothing, guys). Four of the Barneys windows will display items from her clothing collection, including Philip Treacy's hats and some of the stuff she acquired when she bought the late Isabella Blow's entire wardrobe.
