Now that the majority of shares in his label has been sold to Spanish perfume company Puig, design legend Jean Paul Gaultier seems to have some time on his hands. At least that’s how it appears from the slew of recent media projects that Gaultier has become involved with. First the designer has signed on to guest-edit an issue of French publications Libération, the left-leaning French daily, and Gala, the celebrity-centered weekly, in the next month.
And whiel that’s all well and good it’s obviously not going to pique our interest as much as his interview (breath….slowly) with none other than Gaga! Gaultier interviewed the divine diva for a documentary on her life and crazy career, which is set to drop on June 9 on French station TF6. So no, we will not be able to see it aired in the States and yes, we will find a way to watch it anyway. For the time being, this teaser video on YouTube shows the starlet in full form with yards of lamé and colorblocked hair. The creme de la creme of the whole spectacle is a flash of Gaga posing for a photo session dressed as a nun — with Gaultier as a priest. All we can say is: you’re welcome.
