Here’s a tasty fashion tidbit for the next generation of fashion mavens. After Diane von Furstenberg announced some months ago that she would be collaborating with Gap Kids on a capsule collection, the designer has given little more insight on the matter since. Now WWD has announced that progress has been made, according to sources who have seen design boards for the line. Design boards! So it does exist! The reported girls’ collection will most likely bow for spring/summer 2012 from the looks of the designs, the inside sources said. Von Furstenburg is the first high brow designer to team up with the mini fashionista retailer since Stella McCartney created a line for Gap Kids and BabyGap. Let’s just hope the pieces come in some XL sizes for the children at heart.
