Jason Wu is a regular Jack, er, Jason of all trades. The New York-based designer snagged headlines when he launched into the Twittesphere some weeks back with the help of his animalistic alter ego, a little sketched owl named @MissWu_NY. Now with almost 3,000 followers to boot, Wu is ascending to the next level of virtual stardom: e-commerce.
As of today, the new JasonWuStudio.com goes live, offering up the designer’s Spring and pre-fall bags (swoon!) The site boasts brunette beauty Tati Cotliar in a variety of New York street shots, done by photographer Tommy Ton. “It’s actually my favorite collection of his, so I’m very honored to be shooting this particular collection in the way that I do, on a girl like Tati who wears clothes so well,” Ton said. “I think that’s what amazing—when the clothes are right and then you have a girl who looks like she’s wearing the clothes and they aren’t wearing her. It’s very refreshing. She turns heads—I’ll tell you that.”
Dabble yourself in Wu’s wares, particularly the amazing lineup of handbags, at JasonWuStudio.com. Oh, and say hi to little Miss Wu for us, who cladestinely floats around throughout the site approving of your purchases.
