Its been awhile since we’ve found something so gag-worthy, it needed to be noted as a Bad Judgement Du Jour. Luckily thanks to Snooki, it’s only a matter of time before the world of tacky is reinvented.
Snooki Enterprises (yes, she does have a business and that is it”s name) has signed a licensing agreement with Hicksville, N.Y.-based MeyeWorld LLC for a line of flip-flops and wedge sandals. “I’m very pleased and excited to be working with Nicole on developing her namesake line of beach footwear and sandals,” said Danny Kaminer, founder and CEO of MeyeWorld, in a written statement. “Combining Nicole’s unique style and taste with our great design is going to result in some exciting new product for the market.”
This “unique style” consists of flip-flops with pickles and flowery doodles of Snooki’s name, topped off with sequins, as well as three styles featuring animal prints and ruching. To her credit, the girl definitely has one signature style.
The line of flops will range from $15 to $50, with MeyeWorld targeting mid-tier department stores and specialty shops for the launch. The collection is set to debut for holiday ’11 (um, when no one wears flip-flops) with a second collection for spring ’12 in the works. Snooki’s brand also has a line of slippers with Louisville, Ky.-based Happy Feet, and we’re afraid to think of what possibly could be next.
