Summer Trend Alert: White Hot Swimwear

June 28, 2011 • Fashion Blog, Trends

When I think of white bathing suits I unfortunately remember an embarrassing puberty moment. It involves a 15 year-old girl (me), summer camp, a lake and an unlined white one-piece bathing suit. Needless to say, I apparently flashed my fellow campers (coed) while exiting the lake after sailing or canoeing or some such event. I was horrified when it was mockingly brought to my attention that my suit was completely see-through. I digress. Fortunately most other women will fondly remember Elizabeth Taylor or Bridget Bardot when thinking about white swimwear.  You don’t have to be a screen legend to pull off this season’s replacement for the black bathing suit…you just have to make sure it’s lined! Here are 10 of our favorite white swimsuits:

1. Chloe Two-Piece Bandeau Bikini, $164.50

2. Sauipe Montego Bay One-Piece, $144

3. D&G Two-Piece Triangle Bikini, $119

4. Burberry Brit Halter One-Piece Swimsuit, $192.50

5. Jantzen “Heritage” Maillot Swimsuit, $118

6. La Blanca One Piece Bandeau Swimsuit, $109
