The Thing I’m Loving Today. Madewell’s Sun & Sand Romper.

June 30, 2011 • Fashion, Fashion Blog, Shopping

Ok Chicago, there’s no denying it—summer is here. And in true Chicago fashion, we’ve gone from freezing cold to scorching hot with nary a spring in sight. But instead of waxing on about how we live in a city of extremes, why not slather on some suncreen, pop on the sunnies and enjoy it! We’ve waited long enough! However, in the endless stream of summery pieces we’re assaulted with through shopping sites and the like, it’s hard to truly find something that beats the heat in both style and function.

Well, this chic little number just made your life easier. Madewell’s aptly named Sun & Sand Romper can easily carry you from the beach to the rooftop lounge this season. With a sparse cut and elastic waistline, this water-colored one piece can serve as a nifty little cover up on your way to the cabana. But it’s silk crepe de chine fabric makes it evening ready with heeled sandals and a beaded clutch. Presto! Summer staple. Not to mention, the artful abstract print makes me happy by channeling a day at the beach.
