Phillip Lim's design for eBay x CFDA

You can now shop eBay without fear that the designer handbag you’re bidding on could possibly be a fake.

The auction shopping website has been working on their fashion presence over the past year, with exclusive collections from Derek Lam and Narciso Rodriguez and hiring Andrea Linnet as Creative Director and Annabel Tollman as Brand Ambassador. Now, eBay wants to start battling the ever standing problem of selling counterfeits

On Monday, in collaboration with the CFDA, eBay will launch a campaign against counterfeit goods and stolen designs. Their tagline “You Can’t Fake Fashion” will adorn limited-edition totes retailing at $35 as well as bags customized by a slew of CFDA members including Tommy Hilifiger, Billy Reid, Diane von Furstenberg, Marchesa, Rodarte, Tory Burch, Jason Wu and The Row, which will all retail for $150.

The designer canvas totes will be exclusive to eBay and all proceeds will benefit the CFDA. What’s better than that?!
