Express Wants You to Strut Your Stuff

Ever wanted to be a model? Can you get to Times Square this weekend?

Express is attempting to set the record for holding the largest number of people modeling on a catwalk. The current Guinness world record is held by Galeries Lafayette, a French department store that staged a fashion show with 521 participants in September 2010.

According to the Express press release, the clothing brand will set up their catwalk in the middle of Times Square, where it’ll be open all day for members of the public to practice doing their little turns on the catwalk (yeah, on the catwalk). When they reach the end, they will get their pictures taken, like all real models should. Participants will receive a free photo of themselves, as well as an Express T-shirt printed with the words “I Was a Model for a Minute.” The show will be followed by the Express holiday runway show at 9 PM.

If you want to model (or just witness this spectacle), the catwalk will be held this Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM at Times Square. Expect a lot of Right Said Fred and RuPaul to be hummed.
