It’s almost the end of summer so you know what that means… music festival time!
There are days when you know you will be in the sweltering heat, listening to music and trying to stay upright for an entire day. Good thing, Free People officially has you covered! From the concert arena to the after-party, these outfits can take you through the whole day without worry.
The ladies of Free People were also willing to divulge into some easy trend tips and tricks to staying fabulous during the music festivals this season:
• Printed bandeaus and bralets are the best for layering this summer. Prints add a burst of color and adds another dimension to your outfit. The beauty of this is that they don’t have to match perfectly. Just keep the same color scheme and it works for you.
• Layering necklaces works as well. Small charms and earthy pendants works best for the chic bohemian look. Be sure to keep them small and delicate otherwise you risk looking like Mr. T. If you do want a huge piece, make sure you keep it to one and keep all other outfit accents to a minimum. Turquoise and gold can never go wrong.
• Cross body bags are an easy and stylish way to keep all your belongings in one place. No one wants to carry around a huge bag and keeping personal items in your pockets is a big no no. Bold prints also draw the eyes to another focal point. And as the same with the bandeau tops, they never have to match perfectly.
• Shorts are definitely in… but not just any old denim brand. Colored denims and leather shorts area great way to break out of the regular denim short rut and bring a bit of diversity to your outfit. Leather shorts are the hit this season. They are easily the most versatile. You can wear them in the day to bring extra edge to an outfit and then pair them with a lace top to wear out at night.
I was luckily styled in a few outfits… Each one has a standout piece without being too over the top. You can still walk around any festival in style and not be over-dressed or even worse, over heated. My favorite was the new convertible top. Hard to explain, but it could be styled several different ways. With ties on the shoulders and a snap on the side, half the fun was trying to figure out what we could make the top into next! Even the front and back panels were different! You can check it out in the last photo.
Special thanks to the lovely ladies of Free People! Be sure to stop by and give them some love!
