Really, it was only a matter of time before celebrity stylist turned reality star turned style icon (turned new mom!) Rachel Zoe would dip into beauty. As of Aug. 2, Zoe will be the newest spokeswoman and ambassador for New York-based beauty brand Exude. The company’s first product launch, Exude Lipstick, features a modernistic lipstick-shaped crystal applicator and a soft touch tube. The formula inside contains vitamins C and E, gogi berry and omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, and is designed to be applied through the component for the perfect amount of berry-stained tint.
“Of all the makeup I use, I’m most intrigued by and infatuated with lipstick,” said Zoe. “I have full lips, so playing with color and texture has always been fun for me.” Zoe had creative say on both the product’s inner and outer packaging and emphasized the need to keep things simple. “We wanted it to feel very streamlined so the packaging would not distract from the product,” Zoe explained. “This lipstick is never not going to look pretty.”
For $29, the Exude Lipstick line will come in two textures, lip cream and lip gloss. The cream colors will range from pale Nude to deep Cranberry, while the Exude gloss line will come in five shades including clear and siren red. Extra little perk? All the products will have a subtle scent of mint. Zoe seems happy with the newest addition to her already busy schedule. “I would never [promote] something I don’t wear myself or that I don’t believe in,”the new brand ambassador said. “I really believe in this product.” The new Exude Lipstick line will be sold exclusively on exudelipstick.com.
