Don’t stand to close to an open flame if you’re wearing your favorite Chanel scarf. You could catch on fire and not even realize it! No, seriously!
Chanel has recalled over 150 scarves, dresses, skirts, and blouses that “fail to meet the federal flammability standard for wearing apparel, posing a fire hazard to consumers,” according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The garments ranged from $430 to $3,650 and were sold at Chanel boutiques and some department stores, including Neiman Marcus. The flammable goods were sold between March and April 2010.
So, if someone comments that Chanel dress is “on fire”… just make sure and double check it really isn’t.
