Movies are the best way to immerse yourself in another world and get caught up in the trials and tribulations of a certain character. We start to fantasize about what life would be like if we had that Hollywood romance with Ryan Gosling or really did attend a school of witchcraft and wizardry. The only problem is, we also picture our lives with Hollywood closets and all the possibilities that come with having the best accessories. In honor of our obsession with handbags, we have done intensive research to bring you a list of the top purses from recent films so you too can feel like a movie star…
Midnight in Paris
The most recent Woody Allen flick, Midnight in Paris, has brought in great reviews and so have Rachel McAdams’ outfits and accessories. We fell in love with her simple chic look in the movie and after searching the web came upon her much coveted chain strap tote bag (the taupe one). Rachel McAdams is seen carrying the Chanel “Grand Shopping” tote bag from the 2010 spring collection in several scenes and with different outfits – most notably the white shirt dress, and also with a blue top and jeans.
Crazy, Stupid, Love is a must see movie for this summer! The all-star cast is phenomenal and audiences are sure to fall in love with both Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell. Aside from the actual characters, the real scene-stealer is Julianne Moore’s Bottega Veneta Sloane bag, which she totes throughout the entire movie. We love how this woven hobo compliments every outfit she wears! (On another note, did we mention what big fans we are of Ryan Gosling’s man jewelry?)
Friends with Benefits
If you can manage to peel your eyes away from Justin Timberlake’s naked body, you may notice that Mila Kunis has some very cute accessories including an adorable array of shoes which she sports throughout the film. We are obsessed with the tassels on her Onna Ehrlich Brooke black handbag, which she carries in a scene when she and Justin are strolling through Central Park.
Bridesmaids has us gripping our sides with laughter and envious of everything in Rose Byrne’s closet! While Kristen Wiig also looked cute in her girly getups, we couldn’t help but drool over Rose’s Balenciaga City bag which also appears alongside Cameron Diaz in Bad Teacher. Diaz sports the Balenciaga bag (this time in all black) during the beginning of the movie. On another note, it is hard not to notice Diaz’s many different pairs of red-soled Christian Louboutin‘s, which she nonchalantly wears to class.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
While you may think Transformers is the last place to go for fashion inspiration, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who replaces Megan Fox in the latest film) has a few jealousy inducing outfits. She is scene throughout the film in several figure-flattering dresses including a white number in the beginning of the film, which she pairs with the adorable purple Chloe ethel purse. Who says you can’t fight giant aliens/robots and wear heals?
