Beauty Review. MyChelle Dermaceuticals “An Apple a Day”

September 6, 2011 • Beauty, Fashion Blog, Yahoo

The saying is “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” right? Nothing would be better than a facial regiment filled to the brim with apples then, right?! MyChelle Dermaceuticals fights to keep your skin looking on top of its game. Spending countless hours in the summer sun can wreak havoc on your skin, drying out the texture and natural tone. MyChelle uses several different but vegan friendly and gluten-free ingredients to diminish sun-discoloration and sun damage. Additionally, a combination of pure products effectively restore a youthful tone, texture and firmness while supporting anti-oxidant function and healthy hydration.

The regiment consists of six parts, all containing apple as its main ingredient. The first is the easiest, which is the Apple Brightening Cleanser. The cleanser is a sulfate-free cleanser designed to brighten the skin and exfoliate dead, hyper-pigmented skin cells. The next would be the Apple Brightening Peel, which is a blend of derived skin brighteners and helps repair skin damage. Make sure to be weary of this product. The instructions note that because of its highly effective nature, a patch test is recommended and only with a wear time between 5 to 15 minutes. Even though my skin is pretty resilient when it comes to formulas, after 7 minutes, my skin start to itch badly. It’s just that strong!

Apple Brightening Serum did help some of my discoloration around my hairline and the Apple Brightening Mist felt refreshing. The mist would be great to use if you felt your skin was dry or felt extremely tight, which will work wonders in the upcoming dry winter days.

Pumpkin Renew Cream was my favorite part of the regiment. It had a light smell of pumpkin and shea butter. It was very creamy and went on my skin smoothly.  I am calling this as my favorite and I would use this one everyday.  And no facial regiment can be complete without slathering on some SPF. Sun Shield SPF 28 was the lightest of all the products.

I will admit, after a few of the products, I got a little bored by the apple smell. And I will note if you hate apples, you won’t be a fan of the Apple MyChelle line. After using the regiment, my skin felt soft and light. MyChelle has everything you need, no matter your problems… dry skin, aging, teenage acne or sun damage. I’ll keep using MyChelle to see if it helps my dark eye circle though…
