Summary: Designer Gabriela Perezutti of Candela brought out the heat for the Spring 2012 presentation. The heat was turned up in the Lincoln Center’s Box for all girls modeling the shorts and even shorter skirts. Drawing inspiration from Uruguay, Perezutti drew from the tropical vintage vibe for her collection of casual separates.
Silks and leathers kept the collection current with a almost rugged feel while intricate embroidery and lacing detail gave some refinement to each and every garment. Though one could say that the collection was almost a bit too ready-to-wear”, the pieces had very many details that could only be observed at a close distance, therefore making this “ready-for-the-tents”.
