Summary: For the upcoming Spring 2012 collection, Ruffian decided to go back to their roots. Exploring the namesake of “Ruffian”, the designers turned to the famous filly racehorse and the society surrounding the world of racing. Consisting of brillant colored silks, graphic inlays and couture details, those aspects were taken from the look of a jockey itself.

There are both masculine and feminine cues taken and created to make another mixture of soft and hard, with major emphasis on the sharp tailoring details. Because of all the bold and bright colors, hair and makeup was kept to a minimum, focusing only on the eyes. Hair was pulled back to resemble a jockey with just a simple ponytail. Sporty by day and cocktail by night, the Ruffian girl brings the fun wherever she goes.
