Jason Wu Next in Line at Target

After Missoni for Target hit, I think we can all expect nothing but big names and very promising up-and-coming designers from now on. Today’s announcement did not dissappoint.

It was announced that Jason Wu would be the next designer to collaborate with Target for a (most probable) clothing collection. Wu’s collection will be a stand alone, limited edition collection.

“The exciting thing about this limited edition collection of affordable women’s wear and accessories is that it allows me to reach a wider audience and bring my designs to people who may not have been able to purchase them before,” said Wu. “My collection for Target is chic and wearable. I think women everywhere will enjoy it.”

It is believed the collection will be the first designer fashion initiative to follow the retailer’s heavily hyped and successful Missoni for Target launch on Sept. 8. There has not been a date set for when the collection will actually hit stores and online. Let’s just hope it doesn’t cause the previous Target frenzy…
