Tod’s and Michigan Avenue Magazine hosted a shopping event to present the new Tod’s Signature Collection with a portion of the evening’s sales to benefit The Guild of the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
The rain, wind gusts of 60 mph and the 20 foot waves on Lake Michigan weren’t enough to keep the fashion loving crowd away from the Tod’s event last night. The new Tod’s Signature Collection is crafted from Italy’s finest calf leather with a unique tactile finish. The color palette in the collection is enough to make any women smile. The handbags are available in vibrant magenta, red, graphite grey, black and taupe. The accessories are tempting in jade green, deep red, magenta, blueberry, mint green, off white, taupe, and black. (not all accessories are available in all colors listed). Prices range from $275 for a cosmetic case to $2,425 for the sought after Bauletto Bag.
With actress Anne Hathaway as the model for the Signature Collection campaign, the Sacca (tote bag) has sold out in graphite grey in the US, and the other colors are flying off the shelves. The Sacca Bag retails for $2,165.
Viewing the new Gommino shoe collection was akin to a kid in a candy shop – so much to choose from and too much fun! One of each please.
Clothing designer extraordinaire Azeeza Desai Khan and her handsome husband Rehan Khan were among the elite crowd at the event. Azeeza had her first collection of Atelier AZZA unveiled at Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week this past September. Azeeza is THE designer to watch.
Also in attendance for the evening’s festivities were Amy Tara Koch, Rick & Toni Canada, Lynn McMahan, Eric Himel, Ellen Quirk and Philip S. Chang.
