Tuesday was the official opening and debut of the pop up shops at Block 37 during Fashion Focus Chicago 2011. Pop up shops on the third floor of this State Street mall give shop owners and designers the opportunities to reach new crowds downtown.
Borris Powell, Cityblue Apparel & Denim, and The International Academy of Design & Technology are there this week selling their goodies.
Borris Powell‘s shop is selling pieces from his C Me N Dior collection. Luxe faux furs with leather trim, flirty pastel shorts, and feminine separates are all for sale all with Borris’s special touch.
Cityblue brought all the charm of our favorite Old Town shop to Block 37. They brought their best and most fabulous sweaters and tops, blingiest jewels, and their display wouldn’t be complete without the denim they’re famous for.
The International Academy of Design & Technology pop up shop is home to many up and coming Chicago designers. Horacio Nieto, Elizabeth Smith, Tonya Pierce, Nora del Busto, Anastasia Chatika, and Anthony Stephon are all there showcasing they’re unique designs. The shop is bookmarked by two tables filled with baubles from Frill Accessories.
The pop up shops will be at Block 37 through Friday October 21st, so pop on in and get your shop on with Chicago’s best!
