Prada making jewelry, former Seven for Mankind executive making jeans again and J.Crew executive in messy divorce

Prada’s Bringing High Priced Baubles Next Month

Prada will launch a new jewelry capsule collection in November. Driven by her eclectic imagination, Miuccia Prada unconventionally mixed and matched some of the brand’s iconic materials, including leather, crocodile and metallic studs, to deliver a wide offering of necklaces, bracelets, brooches and rings. The different styles span from a rock ’n’ roll glossy crocodile bracelet to opulent, sparkly pendants embellished with colored gems or resin roses. The capsule collection will hit Prada boutiques worldwide next month with prices starting from 350 euros, or $488 at current exchange rates.

Koral Getting Back in Denim

Peter Koral, a former partner in the Seven For All Mankind brand, is close to inking a deal to get back into the denim business. According to sources, Koral is negotiating a partnership deal with a hot British jeans brand. David Edwab, financial advisor for Koral, said he could neither confirm nor deny the report.

J.Crew Executive in Messy Split

J.Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons and her artist husband, Vincent Mazeau, are in the middle of a messy divorce after splitting in the summer.

Multiple sources tell Page Six that Lyons, who is one of America’s most respected fashion businesswomen, earning around $5 million a year working with CEO Mickey Drexler, is going through a bruising battle over her millions and custody of their young son, Beckett. The divorce comes after the couple were featured in magazine stories as the ultimate in creative and casual cool. But following the split, we’re told Lyons has fallen in love with another woman who also works in the fashion business.

A source told the NY Post Vincent is seeking the house and a sizeable settlement in the divorce, arguing that he gave up aggressively pursuing his career as an artist to stay at home and allow her to develop her successful career. But a friend of Lyons said she supported Vincent as an artist, bought him a studio and gave him a life where he didn’t have to work every day.
