Lady GaGa's scent may have a name, Versace prepares for its H&M debut and Conde Nast hits the small screen

Lady GaGa Close to Fragrance

Market reports are circulating that Lady Gaga’s first fragrance, due in 2012, may be named Monster. While Coty Beauty, which is producing the scent, did not respond to requests for confirmation by press time Monday, the name would make sense: The entertainer calls her fans “Little Monsters” and even has a tattoo on her arm with the moniker. No word on the scent itself, although when she signed the license in September 2010, the singer had said earlier this year that it would smell of “blood and semen.”

Versace for H&M Runway Show Tonight

Well, today’s decision day. You can decide if you’ll be one of the chosen few waiting outside in the morning cold on November 19th or if you should just bypass all together and wait for pieces to hit the clearance rack. “It’s in the air. Absolutely. I feel it — it’s a very Versace moment,” said Donatella Versace Saturday as she prepped for tonight’s Versace for H&M show. New York was chosen for tonight’s event for the same reason Versace showed her first Versus collection here more than 20 years ago. “I’m never tired when I’m in New York,” she said. “It makes you want to do things.”

“Versace for H&M Hall on the Hudson,” as it will be known for one night only. Without getting too specific, the designer said that production will include three videos by Johan Renck, musical performances by Nicki Minaj and Prince.

Conde Nast Sees Stars

We reported yesterday that Conde Nast will be delving into the entertainment business but it seems they were closer than they lead everyone to believe. They’ve already gone Hollywood! Coming up in January, Stefano Tonchi, Amy Astley and Brandon Holley, the editors in chief of W, Teen Vogue and Lucky, respectively, will star as themselves in a new ABC Family show, “Jane by Design.” The program follows a quirky teen who is somehow mistaken for an adult and lands a job at a fashion house, as an assistant to Andie MacDowell. “Lynn Hirschberg [W’s editor at large] is really good friends with the producer, Gavin Polone, and he wanted Stefano to do a cameo,” said a spokeswoman at W.

Holley will appear on the show and the magazine’s advertising side managed to make some money out of the arrangement. “This is a joint partnership with edit and business,” said a Lucky spokeswoman.
