Just as one would think, eBay is already selling pieces from the upcoming Versace for H&M collection.
Though the collection doesn’t hit stores until next Friday, an e-retailer in China (as well as other sellers) has already been spotted selling Versace for H&M pieces, with the packaging and tags intact. As you would think, many are marked up sky-high. A chunky gold floral ring, which has a retail price of $19.99, is already up to a $50 bid. And still climbing!
NY Magazine is speculating that according to some of the seller’s details, they might have been a few in attendance of the Versace for H&M launch party on Tuesday night, seeing that Tuesday was the only time pieces from the collection were available to the public. Will this recent eBay price scare help the demand of the wait the night before? That remains to be seen.
Could this be worse than Missoni for Target? It’s already looking like it might be a contender… Let’s just hope it is not the PR disaster that turned out to be.
