Another Versace for H&M line, dates have been set for Macr Jacobs' work from Vuitton, and Stella McCartney has big plans for February

This Again?: Another Versace for H&M

In case you didn’t get your fill this past weekend, Versace will be doing another collection for H&M and you won’t even have to wait in line! Donatella Versace has designed a spring pre-collection for the Swedish retailer that is due to go on sale online on Jan. 19 in countries where H&M operates an e-commerce site, a spokeswoman for the company said Tuesday, confirming a report in the U.K. tabloid Mirror.

These include the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Dates Set for Marc Jacobs Paris Exhibit

Dates for the “Louis Vuitton Marc Jacobs” exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris have been set for March 6 to Sept. 16. That adds a high-profile event to the calendar for Paris Fashion Week, Feb. 28 to March 7, and an occasion to celebrate a long-running collaboration between Marc Jacobs and the French leather goods firm. (As reported, talks to move the American designer to Dior recently came to a halt.)

Meanwhile, rumor has it Jacobs is cooking up another collaboration, this time with dot-crazy Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Jacobs has also collaborated on leather goods with artists Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince. Vuitton officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Stella McCartney Planning a Lot for Spring

On February 18th, Stella McCartney will unveil a one-off capsule collection during a presentation at London Fashion Week. The event is a nod to the 2012 London Olympics. As reported, McCartney is creative director for Adidas Team GB: She has designed the uniforms for Britain’s athletes, as well as items for local Olympics fans. The one-off collection will be available through the designer’s stores, and select wholesale accounts worldwide in May. McCartney’s fall collection will be shown, as scheduled, on March 5 in Paris.

McCartney also plans to open a second London unit in South Kensington. The store will have a separate Stella McCartney Kids shop and will open during the second week of February. The designer also plans to celebrate the “World of Stella” at Selfridges on Oxford Street from Jan. 26 to Feb. 14. That event will include a fragrance launch and her ready-to-wear, accessories, kids, lingerie, sunglasses and Adidas by Stella McCartney collections.
