It’s time for Second City Style’s 12 Days of Christmas (Shopping)! From today on we will post one of our editor’s wish lists to inspire you.
I can’t help it, I like nice things. If nobody will splurge on you for Christmas or your birthday, then what do you really have to look forward to? I’m kidding about the beer budget, but you will see not everything I desire costs a lot of dinero.
Vintage Chanel Bag, $4,180. OK, don’t tell my Mom, but I had a Chanel bag that looked like this one (which I guess is now vintage) and it was stolen during my move from Chicago to New York City. I gained a husband, but lost a bag. Now I am really upset because I not only wish I could carry it…I have to lie to my mother. Well I don’t have to, but I know she would be pissed. So I could use this bag to replace the original. Besides, I rather like the vintage look better, not that they have changed all that much.
Alexis Bittar Crystal Encrusted Gold Long Link Earrings, $175. Everybody knows by now how much I love these earrings and guess what? I already know I am getting them for Christmas. So there! Thanks honey.
Koyanagi New York “Caroline” Bracelets, $38 each
I noticed these at the counter when I was checking out at the salon. I was wowed by their delicacy and totally affordable price tag! They are perfect for every day. They are available in 4 tones; gold, rose gold, silver and granite and they look great stacked or when worn individually. They are super light to wear and easily slip onto your wrist no matter the size. I know I could use a few more!
Armenta Dulcinea Labradorite Ring, $2,100. How much do I love this ring? A lot. In fact I love everything by this designer. After trying on a 9.5 carat diamond at Harry Winston, I am all over a very large ring. Even if it’s not a diamond.
Christian Louboutin Vicky 120 Suede Ankle Boots, $995. I know these booties are a little tame for Christian Louboutin, but I know I would wear the hell out of the red soles on these babies. From skirts to pants, there is no outfit I couldn’t wear them with. Test me. Please.
Vince Belted Cape, $750. I just love the clean lines of this cape. I know I have a black theme going here, but hey, I live in NYC. It’s our uniform and you can’t argue it’s slimming.
Philosophy Much Mistletoeing™ Lip Shine Set, $20. I love flavored lip gloss and so does my son! When he sees me put it on, he will kiss me. He’s two. So I say, bring on these holiday yummy treats! Low calorie too!
